Premium Partners is the only way to go with Link Share. Consistency is good

I'm glad this was pointed out. I am going to log in and check out their Premium Partners to see if there are any merchants that are a match for some of my niche sites...

I emailed linkshare about the fact that I havn't been issued a check in months and after 12 days, they got around to emailing me back:

"We apologize for the delay in answering your inquiry.

All affiliates have to complete the new registration process.
Please make sure that your inputting your information as you see it on your bank statements or other legal documents. If you've moved in the last 6 months, your new address may not be registered. Please login into your account and click the "Join Now" button, and follow the steps indicated. Once you do this, checks will be released."

New registration process? WTF is that? And, no there is no "join now" button once I log into my account. I emailed them back, so perhaps I'll get an answer in 2006  .

Well, I did have the "join now" option in my LinkShare account. However, it wouldnt accept ANY of my information. It just kept rejecting it - I tried it over a dozen times. I finally emailed them about this... and never got a response. That was a couple of months ago.

After reading this thread, I decided to give it another try (the form). This time it accepted my info and everything went smooth. However, I can no longer stay logged in at LinkShare (argh!!!).

Now, every time I log in it kicks me back to the Login Screen and says:

You have been logged out for security reasons. To log back in again, please enter your Username and Password above. For your convenience, you will be brought directly back to the page you were accessing in your account.

    How frustrating is that?! *sigh*

Linkshare doesn't have their act together. I've been with them for about three years and I do pretty well with one advertiser -- CarsDirect. But you can't reconcile monthly earnings to the check that you receive. Some of their advertisers pay late, which means Linkshare pays even later.

They changed reporting systems back in Feb 2005, which caused all sorts of problems and now they're trying a new beta system which is even worse. I've complained to them but only get back standard canned responses that don't help. I'll stay with them while the checks keep coming, but I do not like them. CJ is much better, and checks are regular, but their reporting system is also terrible.

Question: When you receive a check from Linkshare how do you know the details of what it is for and for which month? The payment report is not updated since February and the check says that the payment details are on the web. Where can I find what is paid vs not in their web?

I do get the checks periodically but have no idea what it is for?

I get reports from linkshare okay, you enter start date and end date, it's there and breaks it down by advertiser, but I find some advertisers earnings won't show until the end of the month. Look around under reports.

To find out what the check details are you have to do this:

-Click on the SynergyAnalytics ( near the top left from the main page)
    -Click Network Transaction Analysis tab
    -Click Affiliate Payment Summary

After that just keep drilling down for the year/month, etc and it will tell you details for each check number was for what merchant, amounts, etc.

    Linkshare is SO lame!

"The SynergyAnalytics product currently only supports the following browsers: Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 + (Windows Only), Mozilla FireFox 1.0 +, Mozilla Suite 1.7 +, and Netscape 7.2 +. Click here to return to the affiliate interface."

So now I have to download a 3rd browser just to use their website?

I tried to make an affiliate site on ArtfulIdeas.com, it's still mostly there, uncompleted. And I do still get a small sale from time to time and Linkshare has sent me 2 seperate checks. On for about $2.50 and the other was like $4.00. Overstock is the site that gets the most clicks for me.

    LinkShare does in fact blow.

Sent an email 3 weeks ago, still have not heard from them.
