when a person buys something from my website, and they pay, does paypal deduct it's transaction fees before i receive the funds? for example, someone buys a link on my website for $100,paypal deducts fees, and i receive the amount leftover, which in this example we'll sat $90

    is this how it works?

yep...your account is credited with the amount left after fee has been deducted.

Nah, it is not huge by industrial standard counting that the majority of it goes to the credit card company which could go from somewhere like 1.89% to 3%.
