I have a new site up for a client put online about a two weeks ago
Am due this week to start SEO and gerneral marketing
It has 51 pages currently ranked in google

In the regular google searches it isnt ranking yet however when I select "Pages from Ireland" it came up 1st for its main key term
(its an irish domain) however today when I checked it its not coming up at all for "pages from Ireland"
I have a bad feeling about this
Is there anyway to know if I have been blacklisted or am being punished by google

did you buy a lot of links with the same anchor recently?
Or did you register in some doubtful catalogs?

    I have zero back links
As I said we are just about to do marketing
    I have an Irish ccTLD
The .com is quit a big site could this have an effect
various other ccTLDs are also taken

You should not expect to be listed with zero back links.

That it did show was just luck.

I think google is just starting to cached your site? or maybe you have to continue building links to a higher PR site to increase your backlinks. do more blog commenting that is related to your site. don't submit links to automation links.

Nothing's wrong here, new sites easily get indexed and rank then drop and now it's your quest to gather strong backlinks with fresh content for bots to crawl and rank your site.

There is no way you will know that you are penalized on Google. You must always observe your rankings.

Check your backlinks. I guess there is an unusual activity in your backlinks.
