Am I banned from Google?

    My site has been active for around 4 weeks. Originally when I published the site, it was up for a week until i noticed that it had been published in two places because of my hosting account (otherdomaininmyhosting.com/thisdomain.com/ and thisdomain.com). Google indexed otherdomaininmyhosting.com/thisdomain.com/ and when I realized i removed the information strait away. At this point of time I had done no SEO and backlink building. Since then (about 3 weeks) I have added a few articles and been submitting to do follow blogs however my site is still to be indexed. Have I been penalized for duplicate content? I have completly removed the information that was the same from both sites (in fact the otherdomaininmyhosting.com/thisdomain.com/ is not active anymore). My info on my proper site is 100% unique. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

    I don't think it's about duplicate content because both names (otherdomaininmyhosting.com/thisdomain.com/ and thisdomain.com) pointed to the same IP. Do you have a sitemap submitted to Google? Did you try to submit to some social bookmarking (they are indexed faster and so should be your page)?

    Put the domain you want indexed in your signature, new sites tend to bounce in and out of the serps and and get more stable when they have links to them.

    Thanks for the response. I will try some social bookmarking in a few weeks after my exams. I was thinking of adding a sitemap eventually but haven't got around to doing it. Its a relief that I am not banned. Thanks.

    Hey, Don't you have not banned. You should submit your website to top social network websites. And also put you website in your signature links here. Google will index it very soon

    Good News. One of my pages got indexed today and I am receiving traffic for various keywords however i am still waiting for my index page to be indexed. Thanks for your help.

    I don't think so. I suggest you build some backlinks and everything will be ok.

    I have been commenting on blogs regularly and next month will work on some link exchanges with related websites.

    hi there i am in same place as having just started a site.I heard of site maps and was putting it off till i had more time.But then i found this little site xml-sitemaps.com just put your domain in and it build the whole thing.Then simply dign up for google webmaster tools and upload it.it picked it up first time.
