Am I banned by Google?

If a site doesn't appear when searching for its domain ie www.domain.com but a link appears ie www.domain.com/something.html then does that mean its banned? My site was #1 for a popular search term but suddenly its disappeared and I can't find it even when searching for its domain. I can't tell if its banned 'cos it always had a greyed out toolbar 'cos its such a new site. thanks

If your site is indexed in google it's obviously not "banned".

but there could be a "penalty". We can't give any definitive answers unless you share URL.

How long it obtain? If this is a new site, maybe they indexed your subpage firs, and you should wait a bit patiently.

It was already indexed as www.domain.com and ranked #1 for its main keyword. Now it can't be found even if I search for www.domain.com so I don't think its a penalty or it would be somewhere...even if it was 50 pages down or whatever but its nowhere. All that appears in google is www.domain.com/privacy.php

Basically its subpages appear in google but the domain does not...the domain does not appear no matter what I search for. If I seach for the domain then it comes up with the subpages alone.

    you may have been banned.

If the site is very old and now it is gone for good.
If the site is pretty new, they make come back and re-index it.

So, share the url and we can see what we can find out.

Well yeah its very new, only about a month. Maybe its the Page Rank update that's doing it 'cos I've noticed there's been a few threads about suddenly disappearing from their Google rankings.

as you said, your site so new.

if any page of your site is indexed by google , you are NOT banned from google.

your problem is related with your site age.

you must continue to work on your site

Ah... It is not banned.. BTW did you do anything that might have attarted a ban???

Now work on the content to the homepage.
Don't just put links to other pages, but have some good uniue content on it.

And keep building your links, ONE WAY, slowly..

As long as google is still listing one of your page, you're not banned.

if you search Google for your exact domain name and rather than coming up #1 it comes up 10,20,30, etc., you're being penalized and/or sandboxed, depending on why and what you did to cause it your site might get unpenalized within 3 months, i.e. the next update.

Sounds like your site is banned, since nothing you can find. Further try to search domain.com.

I agree, I don't think you have been banned by Google.
Wait for update and see what happens from there.
Funny things happen with Google all the time.

Your site is not banned if it's still indexed in the search engine, As i told one of my websites had the same problem and am now recovered in the index and it's ranking again, So just give it some time.
