Are we aloud to promote a Squidoo page using AdWords. Will AdWords approve the ad or is it against their terms.. I remember something about them saying you need to own your domain. Anybody who has info on this please let me know thanks
a·loud    /əˈlaʊd/ Show Spelled[uh-loud] Show IPA –adverb 1. with the normal tone and volume of the speaking voice, as distinguished from whisperingly: They could not speak aloud in the library. 2. vocally, as distinguished from mentally: He read the book aloud. 3. with a loud voice; loudly: to cry aloud in grief.
I used adwords for an article on Xomba (another article publishing site) when I started experimenting with my free adsense voucher. I quickly realised that it was better to send traffic to a site where I keep 100% of the adsense. If you have tracked an article's url on your adsense account you know the CTR it produces and the average you make per page impression you also know the maximum you should pay per click of your advert. I worked out I was earning 5p per page impression (how much I earned divided by the total page impressions) so set a limit of 2p. I really can't lose. I wish I had more time to experiment. I'm sure what I did wasn't against any rules but the content did conform to Google TOS.
You could provided the content on the page meets their T&C, but it doesn't really make sense because you just don't have that much control over a squidoo page (where your opt-ins are or sales links). I guess if you're trying to promote comments on your squidoo page?
Agreed .. lol.. The correct word offcourse is 'allowed' :-p I knew that PHD in english would come handy one day
