because truthfully you asked a pretty stupid question...if you had used your brain a little bit, read the rules, and thought about what reputation meant...you could have answered the question yourself...hence...you pissed people off...

 

Why do people care about rep i could care less if mine ever moves.

Rep is used as a measure of how trustworthy a person is (along with Itrader and post count of course). also no one would want it to drop below 10.
