Am I about to assassinate my pagerank and search placements?!?

I'm preparing to update my blog site from static html to wordpress and I'm almost done archiving all the old posts into the new wp install.

The site has a PR4 and a good few backlinks from other blogs and one or two from bigger sites like Boingboing.

Obviously when I unleash the new site the original permalinks will be no more.

I don't want to lose all that traffic, so I'm thinking of using a redirect on the old permalinks to their new URLs-- a 'This page has moved' sort of thing.

My question is: will this kill my pagerank and search placements?

Would like to hear your input ;)

The 301 redirect will work for sure.
