When creating an ad, Google gives you the option to display ads from another URL instead of PSAs. My question is, what is a good URL to use?
OT - that's so weird. I sell a gnome set with that exact gnome (from your avatar) in it! http://www.onlinediscountmart.com/74-30723.html
If you are in the YPN beta, you can use it as your alternate ad. But you must make sure that there are no other conflicts with it on the page (multiple ad units; ad link units).
alfie it actually depends on your site content. Can you please tell us what your site is all abt or show the URL?
investing1848 dot blogspot dot com (I realize the page has some problems right now, I just need an alternative URL before I rebuild the ads)
well, rather than having an PSA, you might also want to consider the Google collapsible function. It beats having a blank space all of a sudden, due to lack of relevant ads
Had a look at your site. I suggest using ebay or Commission Junction ads. CPM ads are good but wont server your cause unless you get atleast about 10,000 page views per day. Try using affilates ads, you get good money once someone buys stuff using your links. Good Luck!!!
I tried different options for alternate ads, including bidvertiser and amazon ads, but where I made around $10/day with adsense, I made maybe 5 cents per week with the other options.. In the end I just decided to show links/ads for my other sites. see http://www.articletrader.com/adsense/
You have to find something that will either convert into sales or will pay well on a CPM or CPC basis. I know that you may earn good with Google, but don't forget you want a default and no default in the world would pay better than Google. If it did then you would not use it as a default, but most probably as your main ads and then Adsense as the default for them.
Hi Alfie, I've had good success with Allfeeds.com's 'Google Backfill' program. It's a dedicated program that allows you to create a single URL (per website) which will display Allfeeds ads in place of any Google PSAs. It's pretty simple to set up and implement, and the ads are automatically formatted identically to your AdSense ads. You can click the link in my signature if you want more information. HTH, Sam
