PayPal is definitely a good account to have, however like all processing companies they HATE chargebacks. That's when one of your customers decides to change their mind and (for whatever reason) ask for their money back. If that customer also happens to have a PayPal account, PayPal will almost ALWAYS side with the purchaser if the matter wasn't resolved with you and your customer on a private level. If your product (or service) gets too many requests for chargebacks, PayPal will quickly limit or close your account. So the trick is to have a product or service that delivers MORE than what your customer is expecting and thereby having fewer chargebacks. Having great customer service helps too.
Paypalsucks. Alternative to paypal would definitely be moneybookers. if we are talking about something completely the opposite to pp/mb system, then i'll go with liberty reserve
There are many alternatives to paypal right now such as AlertPay and Money Booker. If you go to PTC sites, there are also many advertisements on new Payment Processing program emerging right now.
Add your bank account and verify. If you own a credit card then add the card and verify. You can withdraw to cc too(in some countries).
This prime issue is payer's trust, not your ease. PayPal wins trust of the most online payment senders. If you use PayPal alternative, chances are there that you also need to convince sender to trust on that alternative.
Hey Ramcity, It is true that younger companies have to gain the trust of the public. One way to get people's trust is through accessibility and availability. It is the reason we are present on forums such as this one, since we get the possibility to connect with our members and address their questions. All the best, Tanya

Hello Idev, Apologies for the late response, I do not understand how this subscribed thread did not illustrate this new posts months ago. Thankfully, the time lapse has brought some changes. You should try Google Checkout - it's going to be the next big thing eBay owns PayPal remember, so we're all better to find an alternative in the long anyway! It's not 1999 anymore! I just wish Google Checkout would get more competitive with their rates!
I've heard good things about Moneybookers and Plimus, though I use Paypal so I only have minimal experience with Moneybookers and none with Plimus. But I have one business contact that swears by them
