    Affinity.com offers a similar service to Google Adsense. You can see their ads on article networks like Go Articles

    Adbrite is a good alternative for google adsense. You need to be lot more patient to meet success with adbrite though.

    Adbrite is good, possibly second best to Adsense but very hard to see good results unless you have good content.

    Shopzilla has an interesting concept for products. I don't know how it rates against the others, however, but it's something that you can look into if you're site is product based.

    There are quite a few alternatives as you can see in this thread but why not start pushing the boundaries by actually trying cpa type offers ? You may find you do quite a bit better if you get the right offers for your users.
