Anyone know of any alternatives to the Keyword Grouper tool in Adwords Editor? In my experience this is great for small keyword lists, but for large lists the groups generally contain too many keywords, so up until now I've grouped them manually in excel, which takes ages! If you know of any programs, sites etc (preferably free) you recommend, let me know! Cheers
When I generate my keyword lists, the methodology that I use gives me a pretty good grouping, at least as a start point. I've outlined the process that I (usually) use here: http://www.adwordsprofessional.com/google-adwords-campaign/keyword-lists I'd have an Adgroup for each generic keyword, one for each Brand with each generic keyword, one at product level, etc. I'd also have Adgroups for different types of adjectives (for example, cheap, budget, etc may be in one Adgroup (initially)). Over time, I may combine or split Adgroups, based on their performance, and the types of adverts that work, but this is a good start-point. It takes a while, but I know that my advert appears for ALL relevant searches.
Thanks CustardMite, its a good read. Anyone else got any suggestions- particularly software, scripts, sites etc?
