Alternative ways to buy traffic?

    Hi gentlemen!

    Quick question:

I run a few blogs and get organic visitors. I earn OK with Adsense (CPM, unfortunately my M is not very high ;-) so I wondered if I could buy more traffic...

    What sources are available?

I tried buying some traffic once from a guy who, I believe, had people visit the blogs when getting paid to do so. Paid surfing, is that what it's called? That is one option, what else is there (adwords obviously also one)?

I'll do some thorough testing of the different channels, so I'll post the ctrs (more or less) if you guys help me put together a list of things to try.

    Niche is dating.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

    /Jeng

    Why don't you try Adwords?

I buy good traffic with ADWORS. I buy ~2000 people with 100 bucks. Targeted people. It works awesome.

Yea, AdWords is on the list!

Was also thinking about facebook, that's worth a try.

I'll measure each campigns success, so help me populate the list and I'll share the results!

Why not free, check my sig for 10 free ways I use.

I use to spend thousands and thousands each month, now I get 80,000+ monthly free. Also this is targeted traffic which is very important.

i tried facebook ads, it gets traffic but not clients if you know what i mean :) its conversion rate to get a regular visitor is very slim, adwords is better but cost much more than facebook

did you try something like traffic exchange programs? not sure if it works or no but its just a thought

If you're mainly making money with Adsense, wouldn't buying traffic kinda defeat the purpose? You'll probably end up spending more money on traffic than adsense will make you, especially if you use Adwords.

Instead of adsense you could figure out what your visitors are looking for and give it to them with a free report or video and start building a list. That way you'll build a list of people interested in your niche and be able to get repeat traffic.

I've used adwords, as well as facebook and I didn't get quite what I bargained for. The traffic came, but didn't do much for me.
I think you need to advertise within your competition. But a banner space on a dating site maybe? That can help you to get targeted traffic better than the traffic that comes from the adwords, facebook, etc. Good luck =]

I wouldn't buy AdWords traffic unless I'd have my own product to sell to them or some other great product to promote as an affiliate. Buying traffic from adwords to feed adsense with will not work.

No, no. Don't do that. Using Adwords to get traffic to your Adsense site is against Google's rules. This is called adsense arbitrage. Other PPC sites are strict about that, too. Since you're planning to earn form Adsense with your sites, do a bit of Article marketing with Squidoo and Hubpages. Also consider Triond, Bukisa and Info Barrel. You get paid to write on those sites. Draw the traffic from those sites to your sites.

If you are going to pay for advertising, then pay to put a banner or text link on someone else's blog that's gets traffic. Go onto Google, type in your niche + "advertise", and see what the blogs are offering for you to advertise. Guest blogging is also something you could do.
