Alternative to Popovers?

    I know that a lot of people "hate" popovers, but my problem is that I get a lot of sign ups to my newsletter from using one on my blog. And I haven't really found an alternative.

    I find them rather annoying myself, but they are also very effective.

    What do you use instead?

    ... or should I just keep using one?

    Popunders are much less intrusive and highly effective

    I disagree. Popunders are just as annoying (if not more) and way less effective.

    By the way, this is not my site. It's just a type of ad that seems to generate a lot of interest.
