Hi all, Just curious asking for opinions on quality and more cost effective alternatives to Mailchimp for a small to medium sized database list of around 30k names cleansed please. Thanks for your suggestions and feedback.
Hi, I had good experience with ymlp(dot)com I think their pro package might be an option for you. Have you heard about them?
Hi Dieorfly, thankyou for the feedback! - never heard of them but the pricing is certainly more competitive. How's your inbox rates with them? How picky are they at asking where the list data is obtained from?
Aweber, definitely, if you can afford it. Yes if you're under 2000 users in your list it's more expensive than Mailchimp (since the latter is free), but for over 2000 subscribers the former is actually a little cheaper.
Someone once told me that if you have a big list, then it should be paying for itself. I personally use Aweber and I love them.
I use Aweber and GVO and I really like both of them! I use Mail Chimp also but for niches not related to IM, it seems like they don't like certain keywords and subjects and may ban your account even if you are not spamming!
I have to agree aweber is the best although a little expensive but as mentioned above your list should be paying for its self
Stay away from company's like mailchimp read their terms of service they find out that you are doing online marketing they are going to suspend your account. If you are going to get serious with your online list building then you are going to need to own your list and be with a reliable autoresponder service like AWeber or i contact etc.... I use AWeber but I am about to switch soon because my bill is getting out of control .. See the bigger your list gets the higher your bill does too.
I think aweber is a lot more marketer friendly than maichimp. Ideally your list should be paying for itself. If you have an old list it might be a good idea to clean your list and delete people who have not even opened your mail in a long time having an old unresponsive list is not something you want to keep paying for.
Also check out iNewsletter. i work there but well worth a look. It's cheap and super easy to make beautiful newsletter. The best part is newsletters are online, easily published & fixed. www.goinewsletter.com/home Happy to get any feedback, thanks!
