Hello webmasters, I have searched that directory submissions going to old can't say that this is after 6 month effective or not, so i want to know alternative of directories for backlinks.
Putting links on signatures using your anchor text is one of the method on building links. Some says directories are getting obsolete and ineffective, but based on my experience, it still works and fine if done properly.
thx for reply i know if directory submission are effective when it is properly but when are submit 500 directory then only near about 40 directory are gives u output.
The best alternative is getting exchanging links with same business website and also blogging,article writing, forum signatures,SBM,SMM like twitter and face book etc. Also submission to directory is effective and very helpful but you have to keep following thing while choosing a directory submission Directory is unique by design,content,category style Hosted On Dedicated ip Old aged No more then 30 out going links on a page Indexed in google good alexa and google PR Cheers Thanks
Yes because some directory approved link after 15 day's, 1 month, 6 months..or later also but it is good way for link building. Signature with anchor tag, In Article Submission author detail with anchor tag helps to build backlink.

There are not many directories which are good enough and takes less time in approving your links. Even there are many worst directories who have taken the same concept of other best directories but they are worst when they come to work. Better find some quality directory list and submit your website into them.
I'm not a big believer in directory submissions, I just don't think anyone actually uses directories in 2010 and I have a hard time believing that Google or the other search engines give much value to links coming from directories. I've never seen significant results from them and I've tried it many times. As far as alternatives, there are many other ways to build links. My favorite method is article marketing (using article distribution services.)
I will tell you why you feel this!! The reason is that there are numerous directories and about 70% of them are real worst to submit your link into. They even assure that they will take more than 1 month to approve or disapprove your link as if their directory is being honored for quality . Only submitting links into directories which are good and have some reputation should be considered.
