Hi there! Can anybody tell me how can i improve on my site. It's about alternative medicine and is 1 mth old. I already receive about 60 visitors every day via yahoo. Site: http://www.oohoi.com I'm thinking of changing the navigation button because they look dull. Am i right or wrong? I am also working on my content because the site is only about 20% ready - in term of its content. Although my adsense click thru has been around 2-4.8 % i do not get much because the traffic is small. Any suggestion to improve the site or the targeted traffic ? Appreaciate the help! p/s i have already set up and sent sitemap to google but because of the sandbox thing .. i got nill visitors from them
i think you should lose the popup thing to get visitors you need links to your site on other sites so you should try to set that up
Agree the ugly yellow box has to go. Overall the appearance of the page is the type I see and immediately close. If page is not aesthetically appealing I leave. The yellow box was about my only beef with the site. I think the amount of money that you earn from it compared to the amount of traffic you'd scare off isn't worth it. Beyond that, it's looking really slick. I like the clean nav system and the variety of colors and images on the seperate pages. Out of curiousity, why do you have a link for the "Ads by Google" at the top?
Okay, now i know for sure that the yellow thing is bad. btw smyrl .. what browser do you use ? i wonder why it looks bad for you while mixposure thinks it's okay (i know it looks sick when viewed using other that IE). Thanks for that link to the color scheme, it's helpful! Mixposure, i am thinking of getting rid of that adlink too .. it was just an experiment and it appears now that the thing does not work. deadhippo, shannon, mixposure i appreaciate the help. I like it, the clean design and complementary colors work very well. The content is informative and the ads well-placed. I'll be sending the link to my wife, who has a massage therapy weblog.
This may be just a me thing. I see too many colors: two shades in blue family, two shades in green family, three shades in yellow orange family. I attended a seminar on scrapbooking, a topic in which I have no interest, but came away with one idea. Leader claimed use no more than three colors on a page for background and matting around pictures. I find the three main colors prroduces a page I like. You note I am in the minority on the color issue. By the way I am running IE6. Do wish you well with the site. Shannon

Smyrl, i am looking at all my pages design and looking at ways to make the colors more in harmony with each other. Yes, there maybe too many colors .. i will double think about the colors again and see if i can do somthing about it during this weekend. Warm regards iskandar
