I'm sure PhotoShop is better than Gimp but Photoshop has got to be over priced considering all that Gimp has to offer... Gimp happens to have a bad , underdog name which could be why they've continued to keep it totally free...
If you're looking for the best alternative for photoshop, you would be looking for Gimp.. It's not good as photoshop but it's the best alternative out there today..
Interesting discussion. I use both Photoshop and Gimp and both are good. If you are simply wanting to do some straight-forward graphics, then Gimp would be good. Also, if you are looking to do a lot of work with text, as opposed to photos, I would use Inkscape. This is also an Open Source software, it's free, and if you use Gimp & Inkscape together, they really rock 'n roll. I use Inkscape a lot and have tutorials on this and Gimp. Anyway, aadarika - let us know how you get on. Caroline
Thanks for your help guys..Mostly all People have recommended Gimp. I know adob is best . but the GiMP is best alternate for adob Photoshop and having all features like Photoshop. The best thing that I liked in its cost. I love the open Source technologies thats why I like this. Now I have Learned and become familiar with it.
it is not exactly an alternative of photoshop, but you can use a number of effects for any of your images using photoscape
For Linux, you can try "Pixel". I used it before adopting a Mac and this is remarkable! It costs some money but it's worth the price. You can find reviews and tests on the web.
I don't know about cache but the strange thing is I can not see the impressions in Google website for couple of days back and people do come from google which I have seen in Google Analytics, so something is going on with Google.
