    It's depends on what you need. For search engines, youtube is rated much higher and will give you in general more traffic and views. Vimeo is excellent with a very good user interface.

    Vimeo is great and the quality of the video in my opinion is a lot superior to youtube

    I browse LiveLeak.com quite often. Similar to YouTube but does not have a huge following. It's more news and footage from around the world.

    I can agree that DailyMotion may be the closest site to youtube in most terms, but the videos load slow and their advertisements can be long, especially with embedding.
