Altering AdSense ads, without altering their code, via CSS.

I know that you're not allowed to alter the adsense code, but I see so many sites out there that have their adsense ads drastically altered (different font sizes for example). They are doing this via CSS, so the ads are altered yet the adsense code is not - is this allowed?

I have been blending my ads the other way around, by having the same text size, font, and color on my site conform to the adsense ads.

can you provide some examples what sites that you are talking about?

More likely than not is that they are a premium publisher.

Yeah, I don't think altering the CSS would make any difference on the appearance of the ads.

The altered ads you are seeing are mostlikely premium Adsense publishers. I have even seen some ads where the "Ads by Gooooogle" link is removed altogether.

i dnt think you can alter google ads via CSS coz the ads are in javascript format imo... most of the "altered" ads ive seen are resized/reduced in an iframe..

Exactly, it's the Javascript that commands the ads, and only premium publishers are allowed to make changes to the ads.
What you're seing is premium publishers for sure. ;)

You couldn't alter it using css, cuz the javascript loads ads in an "iframe"
