Anyone else notice that they are receiving hits to their website and it's being recorded as AltaVista on your traffic tracker (in this case Google Analytics)?

I thought AltaVista is a dead search engine by now, how come it's starting to send hits to some of my websites now?

Does anyone know if they're picking up and plan on competing with the other search engines? Maybe make a comeback like Ask.com did after all these years?

I get them too. But I don't it means they are coming back, they wouldn't be able to with the current interface.

I still use them once in a while. You never know, I might be one of those hits :p

Please...... Altavista never died, it is still a big search engine used by many people (somewhere in England and Middle East I've been told)
