ALT vs TITLE img tag

Hi all,

I've heard a lot that ALT tags in images are important for SEO, but recently I've read about TITLE tags too... which of the two is more important? Is it advisable to use the same text for the ALT and TITLE tags on an image?

The alt attribute is important, the title attribute isn't. Lots of people seem to confuse the title attribute of the img tag (i.e., <img src="imag.jpg" alt="alternative text" title="image title" />) with the page title tag.

alt tag is way more important. Id rather focus on the image filename than the title tag though...

There is no need to compare both tags because both are using for caption the image. According to seo point of view, these tags are using to increase the keywords density of the web page.
Use right keyword and get good results at search engine.

 

Hey, Why people use Alt tag- One to increase the keyword presence, and two to make user to know whats image is all about. So Alt tag is consider more imp for Search Engines. Titles are really good for links, so i suggestu use good titles for links and keyword theamed alt tags. you can use same alt and title for both. But my suggestion would be use any one not both else it looks more crowdy.
