Alt Tags for Hotlinked Images any good ?

    I have a blog on celebrity pictures and have hosted all my pics on imagevenue.
    Alt tags are very important for images now but are they any good for hotlinked images.

    Does hotlinked images get indexed on google images search ?

    As I see, even if they are indexed, they loosing with imageshack...
