I have one doubt in image tag we can use alt tag, it is use full for SEO. Ex: <img src="images/small_some.jpg" alt="" width="0" height="0" border="0">
yes i can be useful. in alt add ur image description. Maybe google images indexes the image and u get traffic that way!
Earlier the ALT was considered to be useful for SEO, now it is not so. Search engines do not give importance to the keywords within this tag. It is best to use it for the sake of disabled people who access the web page with images.
I have read from some SEO experts that alt tag helps in rankings but I guess with everybody doing it, google may have downgraded its importance. After all, searching for a photo and putting keywords in it have little to do with the quality of content.
correct, but it depends on the business. my industry is fashion and people search specific garments in google and then go to image search. as my site ranks very well, they often come through to my pages through the image search. this probably wouldnt be mirrored with other industries, such as office, where the user probably isnt bothered what their inkjet cartridge looks like.
Nobody really gives any importance to this tag anymore as it was extremely exploited in the early years of alta vista & yahoo
what?? 1) your pages wont validate without the ALT tag 2) it's good for keyword density 3) please don't neglect screen readers for visually impaired users that rely on text
Here is my enhancement of your image tag: <img src="images/small_some.jpg" alt="" title="" width="0" height="0" border="0"> Title help also to keep your KEYWORDS on your image.
Yes, alt and title tags are the major way search engines search for images. You can target the keyword related to the image with the alt tag and it will be ranked high in image searches.
