ALT tag in image thumbnail?

    I heard that alt tag in images is only good if u put them only in images, but not in thumbnails.Is it right?

    Why so? I think Alt text is good. It is both human friendly and bot friendly. So it is good wherever it is. maybe in images, videos, flash and other media.

    It is always good to have extra information in case the photos don't show correctly. If in doubt, add it with alt text tags.

    it's really usefull, especially for mobile users
    I'm often surfing the internet from mobile phone, where image showing funtion is blocked in order to lower traffic.
