I've had enough with all of these "Clickbank is scamming me" threads. Until someone posts actual proof, I don't believe ANY of it. Here's why: 1) If Clickbank is actually "selling" the product and keeping 100% of the commission for itself, this would be incredibly easy to prove (you can tell how many people have downloaded your e-book) and all vendors would leave. 2) If Clickbank is not properly processing orders, they wouldn't be doing it purposely. Clickbank takes a commission on each order - a lost order equals lost revenue for Clickbank. 3) If you've worked with other affiliate programs, you know that conversions will vary greatly from day to day. At first, marketers get all upset and think they're being screwed, but eventually they realize that some days are better than others and it all evens out in the end. I'm not saying Clickbank NEVER loses an order or ALWAYS tracks everything perfectly, but unless someone shows me actual proof, I fail to see how Clickbank has the motivation to screw anyone over. The people who complain are usually newbies who don't understand how they sent 1000 (usually untargeted) visitors to CB and haven't made a sale yet.
dlm I am 100% in agreement with you but sadly you are probably wasting your time. I posted this http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1267796 almost a year ago....somethings just never seem to change.
This forum should totally have a sticky answering this question and others which are asked every day too like "which is the best product to promote" - is there an active moderator who posts here who could not sort that out? I think it would really help raise the quality of posts on the forum and keep more interesting threads around too.
