Already on Google 1st Page (#4), How to Make it to #1?

    Hi!

I'm just wondering what else should I do to increase my rank on Google. My cupcake website is already ranked #4 on the 1st page of Google and I really want to make it to #1.

Not sure if I missed out doing something or #4 is really the best I could get.

Thanks for those who will answer.

    Pat

Google automatically do that types of works. My blog is also first place after posting some article. But, after few days, It does/t appear in first or top of the page :(

Out of interest and slightly off-topic, do you get much in the way of clicks from your adsense ads?

Here you are on #7 but that is still OK. Just keep building backlinks to it.

You may want to consider changing your title tag you have 'make cupcakes' in it twice!

You have to do throughly analysis on top 3 competitors first. Sometime you cannot come over them by just acquired quality links only. If the top website has some authority status with full sitelinks, or even has their own search box made from Google. You have a long road ahead to fight up anyway.

whether you can or cannot get #1 position depends on your competition. sometimes you just cannot get #1 ranking due to authority sites or patent owner securing the top position (like honda.com will always be #1 for the term honda). if it is a competitor site ranking #1, then you need to research your competition to see what must be done to outrank the existing #1 site. sometimes getting to middle of page 1 is somewhat easy but climbing up higher than that can take lot more work, but its not impossible. just need to put together a solid link building plan and work on it

Yeah, looks like my competition is very authoritative. Thousands of inlinks for starters. I guess I'll be stuck at #4.

    Anyway, thanks for the tips!
