alot of people say to get links and high pr.

    This easyer said then done. how do you get a site thats well known and have a high pr to add your link that well have no pr on there site i dont see why they would do it they wont get nothing out of it.

    It will usually be a paid linking. In simple word, pay monthly some $$ and you will be linked.

    Otherway is to make exceptionally well site(s)/tool(s) that get you automatically linked because of the quality.

    Don't make a website thinking about money, make a website thinking about popularity. When you start to get on the right track you can start optimzing your website to make money.

    useful/original sites will always naturally do well because if people see them as that then they will bookmark it and maybe link to it on their site
