Hi all, glad to be a part of this forum. Seems like a good place with lots of quality posts and enthusiastic people. I am very much a marketer and have been working in the IT industry since my first job. Recently got very interested into internet marketing and plan to dive deeper. Aiming to earn a full time living online very soon. Life has been good so far and it is getting better coz I believe that there is no recession on the internet. Hope to get to know more people in this forum and learn new tricks and do some networking at the same time. Thanks for reading and God bless. Cheers, June
Nice to meet you, June. It seems like there are many up and coming marketers originating from Malaysia and Singapore these days (I am originally from KL/PJ myself.) You will find this forum to be a valuable resource, but don't just stop here. Feel free to ask for help, and don't forget to seek out other forums/resources as well. There is so much to learn, but first you need to get some idea of what you want to specialize in. Regards, Paul
Hi Paul & Kimi, Thanks for your warm welcome! Great to meet someone from home country and the neighbouring country. Yeah, more and more people in Malaysia are aware of internet marketing nowadays. We have more online marketing job offers in the job market now as well but generally it is still at its infancy stage. Internet marketer is still a minority of the population. Cheers, June
Hi June, Despite the fact that it really seems like the internet marketing niche is saturated (especially in the US), that's about as far from the truth as you can get. Even here in the US, if you mention internet marketing to the average guy in the street, they'll either think you're crazy or that you're running some kind of scam. It is still a fairly small niche as far as the overall population is concerned, so I think that plenty of opportunity still exists. I'm sure it's even less well-known and unfamiliar to the general populace in Malaysia at the moment, so this is still a great time for you to get into IM. Cheers, Paul
