    Congrats! I noticed you have 4 ads on your homepage, I believe that violated the TOS. I'd recommend removing one of them.

    You might want to do it especially since Google visits this site AND at least some of the links on here mostly likely.

    i am also in the same process, a bit further, growing slowly.. congrats... with your achievement but,

    if i hear all people here.. the $5 dollar mark a day is big? a little bit depressive.., i don't know if I am happy or not. Is this a normal mark?

    It's a nice start but when you have $5 a day.. you want more. I thought $5 a/d is more for starters.

    no, there are 3 ad units and 1 link unit, which is allowed under TOS

    JackBurton threw in a piece of advice on the previous page:

    It sounds too easy to be true? Jack, tell us, how do we do this, and is it really that easy? Sorry I'm so dumb, but I don't even know the name of a single CPM network, let alone which is the best one to use.

    I have to admit I know nothing about them. Do they tell you up front the $ you get? And I would not want any pop-ups or anything obnoxious like that.

    Congrats! ;) I almost quit as well but I persevered and suffered through the smart pricing. Now I'm almost about to cross the $xxxx threshold for one month. 6 more days left in the month. :D

    Pop-ups and interstatials are where the money is (you can set them to pop up or run an interstatial for one visitor a day, so it's really no hassle if you have content for them). But if you just want to run banners, you can. You can make anywhere from .30-cent CPM to 1.00 for traditional banners depending on who you are with. They tell you the rates each ad will be paying, and you can choose to serve or not (or at least, most networks give you this option).

    Apply to Valueclick Media (formerly Fastclick), Tribal Fusion, and Casale Media. Those are the top 3 CPM networks out there, and they give you a lot of choices about what you want to serve, and control over your ads. Those are the only three I can recommend in good faith, because everyone else is, well, everyone else.

    @strangelife

    that's good indeed.. I think you re thinking now of making more sites?

    my experience is also that if I make a new site.. most of the time it takes 4 weeks and then my earnings start. sometimes the same day.. but that's just caused by my submitting activities.. but i always try to get dmoz ranking etc etc.. unique content

    i think it this way.. nobody can work 24 h a/d.. this adSense and Advertisement is 24 h a/d. If you want to have 1500 euro a month you need 50 euro a day. That's 2 euro a hour (with ten sites, 20 ct a site a hour). It 's really a lot of work to get there, but I thought more people had achieved this.

    I would anyone suggest to make simply more sites. Or split up you sites in more topics.. simply make more.. and optimize..

    @jackburton2006
    I am always a little bit scared for Pop Up advertising etc.. I think it's annoying for visitors.. But definately interesting ($)

    It was more like 550 a day when I started adsense. But the biggest change has been the click-through-rate.
