I'm looking to create a type of site where a user can create an account, and then has his own page to edit. Almost like a myspace type site where you create an account and get your own profile/site, but not social networking. Anyway, I'm looking for how to allow a user to create an account, and then have a editable page that is his. Does Joomla or a content management allow for this, or how do I go about doing this without one?
Just checked it out a little. I'm looking for something more than just a blog. I'd like to be able to customize what the user can have on their page, and it will be more then just a blog. I'd like for the user to be able to upload data, and have sections within their own sections, etc.
From looking around a bit more, it looks like I may have to hand-code something with PHP and SQL? I was hoping there would be tools to make it easier, heh
Well the thing that you want it belongs in more than one category so the best option for it would be bespoke programming which means yeah you have to write it manually in php & MySQL which requires quite a bit of experience, good luck with it mate!
