I searched through the S&F forum for this topic but I either missed it, or it hasn't been created.

I'm thinking that in the B/S/T forum area, that the first post of a thread can be edited whenever the poster feels like, especially if they want to change the prices of things long after the 6hours of the initial posting. I have come across this and have changed the price of things I was selling and had to make a new post to change the prices, and thus incurred an infraction.

Am I supposed to start a new thread (rather then double posting or editing the first post) to avoid the infraction if I feel the need to change the prices of a product I'm selling?

Editing the first post would be much more productive, because people would be able to see the current bid and BIN prices at the first post rather then reading the entire thread, of course people could still read the whole thread if they so desired.

It could get awkward if the seller says 'well, you agreed to [insert terms of sale]' when in fact the buyer recalls different terms. The date stamp won't bypass this problem because a dishonest seller could just say they had modified bad spelling or whatever.

Well CountryBoy you have valid reason why we don't have much time to edit first post. Otherwise there is no problem to allowed this in BST.

When you edit, doesn't it tell you what time the last edit was? And when you post something on the thread it shows the time to? So you can compare the both facts.. for those problems Countryboy ;) (confusing though!!!) and people can PM the person without posting = which would cause problems if they changed the offer.

I think there's a reason why we can't edit it all unlimitedly ;)
