Hello everyone. I have an online community where the member of my website can register for a membership and create a profile with the url similar to www.mydomain.com/username.

I am wondering if I could allow my members to use their own domain name to be pointed to their profile page on my website. So if their domain name is www.yourdomain.com, then www.yourdomain.com will show his/her profile page on www.mydomain.com/username. www.yourdomain.com/test will show www.mydomain.com/username/test... so on and so forth. Does anyone know I am accomplish this? I am guess they will have to adjust DNS setting with their registrar, and I should make some adjustment on my .htaccess as well.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Most domain registrars support domain forwarding, that will be the easiest way to get them from their domain to their profile on your site.

The other method is to get the users to point the DNS towards your servers, and then they would have to set that domain up in their profile on your site (so that your DNS knows that the request for that domain should be directed towards a certain profile).

In other words; tell them to forward the domain to their profile page. :) The second option is the more traditional method, but setting it up and making sure it's working properly would be very time consuming. And there's much more that could go wrong that would be your fault than if they went with domain forwarding.
