Allow User To Self-Delete Account

Hi

I would like to suggest a feature to dp to allow users to self delete there account if they would no longer want there account or even if they would like to signup with a diffrent user name. The hack does not delete the users posts/threads so i am gussing it will not affect the Dp db server as it only deletes the username and leaves the current post by the username.

The thing is scammers would just delete there account after getting - itrade so that they can do the same thing all over again with the new username.

 

Enough said there, great point!

Also new members come, its a turn on to see a big site that has had many members, its good if they stay. They may also login again in the future and regret ever removing there account.

People who take pride here at DP, top members with high reputation and post count, I doubt would want there account removed after all there hard work, so really there is no need for it!

 

well the main reason i was suggesting this was for people who wanted there username change. But in every suggestion i guess theres good and bad points.

 

Way too much potential for abuse.
