allinanchor vs. regular organic search SERPs

We are trying to rank for: "Specific Brand Name Keyword Phrase"

We have been linking for this term in a variety of different ways -- "Brand Name & Others Stuff", "Find Brand Name Here", "Other Product and Brand Name", etc. etc.

We are currently ranking #1 for this phrase if you do:

    allinanchor: specific brand name.

However, we are no where to be found in regular organic search.

Does someone know how Google determines allinanchor and if link anchor keywords are most important thing in order to rank for particular keywords, why we would not be showing in regular search?

PS --- Our title tag, url, on-page, etc. etc. are also well optimized for "Specific Brand Name Keyword Phrase".

    Thanks,
    Terry

Check out allinurl, allintitle and allintext searches.
One or more may be needing some work.

    We are showing up for:

    allinurl -- #1
    allintitle -- #7
    allintext -- #3 and 4

We are also #6 in Yahoo for the key terms and #3 and #4 in MSN for same.

Now i am even more confused.... what does this mean?

It means something is wrong. If you are ranking that well for all 4 terms, you should be ranking decently for the keyword phrase organically.

If you'll post or PM me the url I will look deeper.
