some other company had a press release put out that they were selling the shirt. Drudge (!!) linked to the press release. The site was down for 2 days cuz of the traffic influx. Talk about a slashdot effect. Man.
Hahahahaha... They have some nice shirts on that site. Can't wait for some good ole boys to buy some, put them on, and march in front of the local mosques. Oh, wait, they can demonstrate against us or our religions, but we can not do the same to them.
Why can't you demonstrate? I don't know where you live. Is there a law against demonstrations there (example: China)?
In the good ole US of A, that if there was a demonstration at a mosque, the good old liberal leftists would scream a pitch fit and want laws against this! Plus want to have the demonstrators arrested. Still waiting for the one brave newspaper or news media outlet to actually post all those pictures that the muslims hate so much. Wonder if the KKK and the American Nazi party and so forth can get together and really come up with some good cartoons and such?
Ok. So you CAN demonstrate. You are just afraid of the repercussions (laws, bodily harm, death, etc). Those Muslims you see rioting in Iran, Pakistan, Turkey and other places don't care about the repercussions and that's why you see them doing what they do. That's the benefit of being largely politically, socially, economically and ideologically repressed--you don't have much to lose.
Our two most popular local DJ's protested at a mosque a few years ago. They were fired. The were unfired after protests over their firing, but they were forced to apologize. Peaceful protest can be proactive and productive, if you are protesting for a good cause. Protesting to destroy free speech and bring an end to civilization as we know it -- that's probably not a good cause.
Free speech does not mean freedom from repercussions. They were free to keep protesting all they wanted and that's what makes this country great.
It does seem odd that the Islamists can't seem to grasp that we in the Western world are offended by assaults on people, property, and liberty. All of those things seem fine by the Islamists, but drawing a picture of a man incites them to murder. Now that's what I call a cultural gap.
i think that site is just messed up, that is what stirs up hate between religions, i think it should be tooken down. I think that muslim shirt logo that was shown above, would actually get you killed now days.
I think that murdering innocent men, women, and children in the name of Allah is what stirs up hate between religions. Blaming that on a t-shirt is, well, moronic. And yes, the t-shirt can get you killed. However, lets not make the mistake of blaming the t-shirt for the acts of ruthless murderers. Let's blame the murderers.
