I am surprised to find that allaboutdavincicode.com is available.

As a newbie, I just wanted to know why no one cared to take it?

Are there any legal issues in registering such a name, as it has the name of the novel in it?

Yes, if you want davinci code names you can still register shorter/better ones.
In any case, I think the book is already old news.

There can be trademark issues and you're wise to bear that in mind.

In this case I think the others have got it right though, the da vinci code has peaked and is on the way out.

    Thanks for the responses.

I am interested in the trademark issues. Any further info is appreciated.

That was just an example - yes, I agree. Da vinci code is a forgotten thing by now.

You would need to study the trademark laws in the country in which you operate and talk to your lawyer about the ramifications with regard to the server location, the user location etc.

Legal discussions here are guidelines only - you wouldn't want to stand up in court with a printout of this thread and say "You honour, this is what I based my decision on"
