best way to make $10,000 per annum Get a forum cranking? Start an Ebay shop? Start a niche health blog and sell affiliate products? What would you do, or do you have any other ideas
It is pretty hard to make a decent living just from a internet website. I suggest that you just get a normal job, it is probably the best option. But, if you still persist, then I believe you should open up a forum for a particular category (business, games, health, etc...). However, in order to make $10,000 a year from the website you would need to dedicate time and money.
yeah, no I'm getting other income outside of the net, so that is cool. Looking for some revenue to help pay my rent. How much can you make off a forums, I have a good idea that I havent seen done anywhere yet I don't think.
Depends on the niche/traffic/revenue sources. Are you going to use Adsense/PPC companies? Sell ads directly? Are you going to promote it first? Lots of factors in how much you can make. If startup costs are cheap, I would just start with the idea... especially if it's a unique one.
Well, you do one of the following....... 1. Buy one amazing script for a high price and make sure it's something you will enjoy. Burn 8 hours a day making it amazing and promote like crazy. Don't ever stop calling. Seriously, if you want your site do do well you better be promoting as far as calling a bunch of people on the phone!!! or 2. Get one cheap site, moderately promote it and submit it to directories and what not, then get another, then another, then another, then another, until it becomes too many for you. If, for example you have 20, take turns for each day on which site you will work with thoughout the months. 3. If you can't get anywhere with adsense or whatever you are using you can always keep your eyes open for Professionals that may be looking for someone to hire you. There's probably no chance in the world that anyone would pay you close to that but at least you have stable extra income without the pressure of making decisions that will break you. 4. If you don't have the skills to handle a website then look in the newspaper for a fulltime job and usually in less than a month you can find a job that pays $10,000 to $20,000 annual. I know this doesn't help you, but some people around here should really consider it. Exspecially the one's who don't know HTML and PHP enough to modify their sites. Now you will just have to wait like any business it needs just time to grow. Now if your crazy in the head like me then do both of the above, and just hope your profits soon become enough that you can get 16yr olds from digitalpoint to do the work for you at a fee.
hahah thanks for the good advice I have a health niche blog thats getting good traffic after 3 weeks, though not ready to monetize yet. I hope i can get my 10k of that in 6 months What sites do you guys have, i shall check them out. thanks again
I can't say that my dinosaur site alone makes the big bucks but the fact that it costs less than $10 a month to hold up and makes around $500 is awesome. I also have an arcade which is a total joke for profit. It pulls about $400 in total a month, but I'm sure it's getting close to maxing out becuase the traffic is still doubling every month, but the adsense is still only going up $20 or so. I also have 29 other educational and hobby like sites that are pretty much the same as the dinosaur site, but on totally differant topics. There's way too many links to list for you. Last but not least, I've just started a powerful "facebook like site". Its a fair bit differant, but it should do well if I can get through modifying the blasted coding. It's one heck of a script. Can't say that name here yet either becuase of the people around the forum with "sticky hand" might get some idea's.
I only build business online that is also found offline. This way I know how much people need want and buy of it. I don't get into fads as they will come and go and so will your business. 1. Something people always need. 2. Simple and understandable. 3. I'm able to provide myself or with minimal staff. 4. Profitable. 5. Scalable. 6. Whatever money I put in has to be recoverable. Sometimes this means if it is a physical item I can always sell it to get my money back on ebay or through a newspaper. Always think long term as results are hard to get (at least in what I do) in the first year or 2 then they start to build. Most of all be patient and work hard at it. Successful people never give up.
Ok thanks for the good advice say if i had 300 daily visitors on my health blog, and had 5 buyer buying a $50 product...how much would i expect to receieve. the blog is about a niche topic which needs a lot of products i the repair of the body.
Open a Hosting service, Itl cost you $40 minimum and you will make abit of profit out of it and expand it within a year. Or you could just find a niche market and sell products. Depends on your skills.
