not bad at all, infact every technique you implement for link building is good always , Just remember not to do too much in one time.
You can continue to do directory submissions; but don't rely ONLY on one method to get backlinks for your website(s). Use other methods as well and strike a balance in your link profile.
As above, maintain it, but mix with other promotional efforts, its good to carry on submitting anyway, build steady backlinks, helps keep numbers up as other backlinks drop off.
The best practice would be to continue to submit to all new directories that you see in the Solicitations & Announcements forum. Getting accepted in a brand new directory is much easier than getting listed in some old directory.
In my views All time directory submission is not good. You should go for this but once. Submit your website in almost all directories but don't depend on them all alone. Go for other options also like article submission, Squidoo, Hubpages etc for backlinks. Thanks
That's not a good advice. From my own experience submitting to "any directories you can find" is just a waste of time because more that 80% of these directories won't approve your links. Ever! So in order to make the directory submission process as much efficient as possible we should submit to brand new directories and some list of 100-200-300 really established & authority directories.
Backlinks is always good for sites. and directory submission is a good way to get some backlinks easily for long time. find some good directories and submit your directories there. if u fill correct information and put on correct categories so your submission is easily accepted and u get one backlink.
I think only submitting to directories is not enough. But they are useful as long as they are free. Some directories like Dmoz, Yahoo are great to be listed. Instead of submitting in 2K-3K directories you should choose High PR directories and the new ones that approve your site link fast.
