All products "In Stock"

    Another newbie question :rolleyes:

    I began searching for products on Amazon and noticed that they all are labeled as “in stock”. It's ok or I must look only for fresh products? I'm afraid that the product will be sold while I write a review.

    Thanks

    It's okay if the person clicks on a link from your website and places an order for that item even if they run out of stock and turns into an "external" link.

    Here's what's on the website:

    The following are Excluded Products:

    any product or service sold on a site linked to from the Amazon Site (e.g., a product or service listed through our “Product Ads” program or sold on a site linked to from a banner ad, sponsored link, or other link displayed on the Amazon Site);

    https://affiliate-program.amazon.co...soc-center-1&pf_rd_r=&pf_rd_i=assoc_operating

    -----

    In other words links like the following would not get you a commision:

    Sold by these sellers
    Sold by (merchant)
    Sold by (merchant) and fulfilled by Amazon

    -----

    Unless (I emailed support) you're linking to it from your website. Here's what they said:

    In reference to your contact on the Associate fees that you earn. If the sale is made via a click on your link to Amazon.com then you will receive the referral fee this includes 3rd party sellers.

    ----

    In other words if the customer clicks on a link from your website and orders from one of the above external links you will earn a commission. But if they click from your website and click to another page and orders from an external link like above you won't get that commission.

    If not it would open a can of worms if you're linking to a page and they go out of stock. And yes I recently got a commission from a "Sold by these sellers" link.

    I finally got an answer to what qualifies as an external link. Anyway here's what the Operating Agreement says:

    The following are Excluded Products:

    any product or service sold on a site linked to from the Amazon Site (e.g., a product or service listed through our “Product Ads” program or sold on a site linked to from a banner ad, sponsored link, or other link displayed on the Amazon Site);

    -----

    Here's the reply from customer service:

    Thank you for your question about items listed on Amazon.com that are sold through external websites.

    We will not be able to pay advertising fees for orders completed on external websites. Only qualified orders that are completed on Amazon.com will earn advertising fees. Any items listed on the Amazon website where a customer does not need to visit another website to place an order will qualify for Associates advertising fees (commissions).

    For your reference, the examples you included are all items that would go through the Amazon check-out:

    Sold by Paul's TV and Fulfilled by Amazon
    Available from these sellers
    Ships from and sold by Audio Video Communication Store

    Only items listed in the section or an Ad that states, "Product Ads from External Websites," would not be an eligible click-through for earning Advertising fees.

    -----

    So in other words you still get the commissions for the above mentioned products whether or not it's a direct link or not. My bad :(
