Okay I know that becoming a graphic artist or designer is hard. I am creating this thread to ask you what do you need help with. What kind of tutorials do you need? Do you need tutorials about the color wheel? Do you need basic color information? Well whatever it is you need just post what you would like to learn in this thread and I will do my best to find or write you a tutorial on the subject.
hi.. what was my first step to become a graphic artist! i mean what software or books do i have to? THANKS
www.good-tutorials.com have some tutorials you can look on too. as far as color wheel and other stuff, thats just you being have to be artistic, knowing instead using black to shade, use darker complimentary colors to give it more nice colors to it where black dulls it, stuff like that. just search google for color wheels and pretty much what you want to learn. now you want to look up tutorials for basic tools of the program you want to use.
Well , as a senior designer I shouldnt enter this thread as it said :"new designsers - read" but iv read it anyway , and I just wanna say you are very nice trying to help new designers. Keep up the good work.
hi... could u suggest some good website for high resolution images, googleimages n yahoo images are of no help.
I think new designers first need to be aware of some simple background on balanced composition and typography. The biggest mistakes I see made have to do with these two aspects. Keep it simple should be your mantra!
I learned mostly by looking at what other people did, and then trying to recreate the effect myself. Try to use whatever tool feels best, you can pretty much accomplish anything with Photoshop. Just open it and start playing.
You guys are over simplifying Graphic Design. Graphic Design is much more than just opening up photoshop and creating a Logo in 20-30 minutes. Its much much more than that. First off you do need these programs (or some other equivalent) Photoshop; Illustrator; Books: Colour Theory Books Grid Systems Typography (Theres more to it than meets the eye School: Perhaps? This site is real ignorant on what is good and what is bad when it comes to graphic design. Logos (Good ones) take weeks to make; Websites take weeks to make and cost more than $100, although some would think otherwise (A good site could run you anywere from the $5000 + market). You just dont become a Graphic designer in one week. It takes time, Practice, Knowledge and inspiration.
