I'd rather ask you on what basis you were expecting this much per click? It could be your calculations were not that right. I'm just saying :)

Now about dumping the project, you mentioned your site is getting 90-95% traffic from a specific country. But, what about your competition? Are they above you in rankings? Are you sure they get less traffic that your site? Have you tried different ad placements to improve number of clicks?

You've worked on a project, don't just dump without giving it a very serious thought.

Might as well copy the effort to target another country. Since you are successful in targeting one country. There is no reason why you cannot succeed in targeting another country.

Rightly said. To answer your questions:
    1) I guessed the cost per click because I have a similar niche website that targets US and I am getting $1 per click!
    2) I am still in pathetic situation when compared to competition.
    3) I have to try lot of things. Yes, I need to try my level best before I can decide.

    Thanks for stopping by.,

I haven't optimized sites for non-English speaking countries but the few times I have checked the CPC on adwords for certain terms that are in other languages the CPC is like 10X lower than its equivalent in English... .now if you are geo-targeting I have no idea about the CPC but when you go from any other language to English the CPC difference is quite significant....

Yes, you are right. But the niche is a product based. So I thought, I wouldn't have much difference. Now its pathetic. Just trying to get more traffic until the revenue reached certain extent. Then I will be leaving this project in standby.

    You are absolutly right.
I have the same problem, but sometimes I have visitors from USA or Europe and get €1 - €2 per click but most of the times I get €0.01 - €0.02 per click and few times even €0.00 per click.

How about link exchange with sites in US or Europe to gain the value per click ?
