Oh. I definatly deserved it I also had removed the tool used to report people from all of my blogs. The funny thing is I was able to republish all my blogs, but when I signed out, I could not sign back in. Only a matter of time I suppose until all my blogs are offline again.....
mdev05, You must contact blogger and ask them the reason. Their reply may give you some clue. Also follow mcfox's advice and try copying some posts from the cache. I hope you didn't have too many posts on each
It's shocking! I wonder that they delete the blog without any notice. it's really pain for me. I pray that They returned mdev05 blogs, if he change or delete some blogs.
Hi, I'm not sure if you can get your posts back (write to Blogger like people are suggesting to see if it can be done) but you should be able to get your old blog URLs back by recreating blogs using that same unique part of the blogspot url.
But if they don't let you sign in, you still have the blog content sitting on your host and site, correct?
Yup; having your own server for hosting has many advantages, and knowing that your files are not being controlled by anyone else is a big one. If you're blogging for a serious business(es), then hosting on your server is the only way to go, IMO. I must admit that I've been quite impressed with Blogger lately. Nowadays, when I surf other blogs using Blogger's navigation buttons, I am finding 1 spam blog for every 35-40 legit blogs. Not so long ago, if I used Blogger navigation to surf, the ratio was about 1 spam blog for every 3-5 legit blogs. They're obviously getting serious about cleanup these days, and it's about time, really. Since all the major search engines often give special priority to blogs, all those spam blogs were causing some real crap to rise up in the SERP's, IMO. AmCy
blogger also deleted my blogger account, but left the blogs most are hosted on my servers a few on bloggers i was using rsstoblog but it was only posting 4 times a day.. i didnt consider that excessive... im still waiting for an answer to why it was deleted.. but im thinking it was the automatic posts....
Yes, but Blogger is choked with blogs that are just RSS feeds with AdSense ads. Too many. They had to take action. I think that if they find no original content in the blog, they just delete the account summarily and with prejudice. AmCy
I hear ya'...I maintain 8 blogs and it really wears me out sometimes. But original content is the only way to go, IMO. AmCy
Beginning of the end of Blog Spam ? Can we say that ? Tools like RSS2Blog are being used by a lot of people to get unlimited number of blogs. Anways, it would be interesting to know if you contacted Blogger support and what did they respond if they did yet.
well thier 1st reponce was read the faq this was my responce "Hi I have tried to login to my account with Internet Explorer, opera and firefox they all say User account not found. and i read the faq before i asked for help. no where on this page http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=654 or searching do i find User account not found" I hate when tech support assumes im a moron and send me the standard auto email.. they didnt even read my original email.. i really dislike my time being wasted
Why is it not possible someone got your account information and simply logged in and deleted all your blogs?
Maybe something like the Wayback Machine (archive.org) might have copies of your blogs. That's a real shame if you were uploading genuinely useful unique stuff. ...if it was rss published stuff then I guess you can set it off again somewhere else?
Well, if you host your blogger blog on your own domain, at least no one can take the rankings from you
I made 2 blogs on blogger, with GOOD content about Mustangs. Only had 1 link (back to my Mustang site). Spent 3 hours on them, then the next day... POOF! Blogs were removed. My account is still there, but the blogs were taken off my control panel. For no reason whatsoever.
I'm not gonna make any more blogs on blogger after reading this. Only have one blog but if they delete without warning, screw that.
