1000 backlinks - using the link: search or in webmaster tools?

You're not banned as you're still in the serps. I get 100 backlinks according to Yahoo. Keep building those links, as backlinks will be added/deleted all across the net every day.

Go to Google. Search for: link:www.adobe.com - then feel free to throw up. Do the same in both Google and Yahoo. The differences are incredible, as Google only shows around one tenth of backlinks.

I've found that the following can differ.

    link: google.com
    link:google.com

So just check that out ;)

wow, i always thought "link: google.com" would just search for the words link: and google.com. thats what the documentation says at least.... i think i read it somewhere.

but i just tried it and with the space it showed almost the exact same result as yahoo does, without the space it showed nothing. (wasn't searching for google.com)

    thanks
