    I just cannot stand "tolerance" at all. I mean, to tolerate something, it really means, "hey, I don't like it, and I think it is bad, but I will just put up with it for the sake of putting up with it".

    Nothing is accomplished when you simply tolerate something... Coming to an understanding, and willingness to learn about others is a lot more productive...

    There are probably whites that hate blacks, that just "tolerate" them... You know, they just put up with them.. See how bad that sounds.

    I'm sure there are people who don't like one armed midgets, but they just "tolerate", put up with their meager existence. Again, that sounds pretty bad..

    Tolerating someone or something gains nothing. I really hate that word...

    If someone is a racist, what good is tolerance? They are still a racist.. Are you saying that a tolerant racist is less of a racist?

    I never said a racist should act upon their prejudice, whatever that means... I just said, pretending like you don't care accomplishes nothing.. Tolerance is not what is needed.. Understanding is.

    Who says an intolerant racist is going to do anything more than spout their ignorant mouth off... I've known quite few racists in my life, and have yet to see any one of them do anything violent...

    I don't like people who get abortions, and I certainly do not "tolerate" that ingrate behaivor, but I do not run around killing abortionists... Everyone has a right to be a moron.. It does not mean I have to tolerate it. I just simply understand that some people are dumb.

    Me a libertarian? I'm not a liba anything...

    As the owner of a child, I would have to say, when my wife got pregnant there was no "choice"... She was pregnant, which meant she was gonna have a child.. There was no choosing not to... It just happened...

    Man, I wish I could "choose" when I was going to have a car accident, or not... Sounds kinda silly..

    I fail to understand your examples. There's always a choice. Women in our Western countries have a choice to abort a child within a specific (sometimes exceeded in controversial cases) time frame.

    The pseudo-randomness of a car accident shows no parallel with aborting a foetus.

    What baby..? a foetus is not a sentient being - only an entity that has the potential to become one.... the woman should not get pregnant in the 1st place of course but in some situations, a new life being brought into the world is not the best option for that potential being or the ones involved in creating him/her
