From my point of view PR has lost its point and power - It has no value and that is no IM if you plan to make a PR5 site which is really pain in the ass to obtain and then sell links for 100$ month. Selling links is not easy and PR itself has no use or power - I have outranked website in the same Niche I am in with PR0 when other pages have PR3
Many misconceptions folks. if u want to good PR, build backlinks and build your single pages as well, Not only, domain name. SERPs and PR are not directly related, but it's relevant to each other. However, If you install google analytics, webmaster tool verifications and sitemap submission, it's much better google can track your website activities therefore, you can probably get PR information better. Traffic plays major role in PR. If your site has frequent visitors and repeated visitors on a multiple pages, you will notice your PR will grow faster. For example, Google is the standard 10. Try to build a traffic every way you can.. I am sure you can succeed
Pr can show that how important your site. The higher PR you have, the bigger connection your site is. And you can sell it in better price if you have high PR
Its shows your credibility given through Google. The more PR you have, means more popularity you have according to the algo.
Everyone prefers to link to websites that has high page rank... it helps your website increase your page rank too aside form the traffic that you will get
I am not sure... If this statement is true. Because one of my site has 0 PR (1.5 years old) and in Top 5 result for some keywords. how? Though first let me clarify this - Earlier this site had PR 3, but due to some penalty It's now 0. But still it has higher SERP.
The sole importance of having a good PR is that people would readily approach you for back links for a good price! It also shows, how well your website is connected with others and gives some sort of a standing w.r.t other sites on the net. Regards, RightMan
It is all very vital. PR, backlinks - If the goal is traffic, I think you need to focus on all of it.
No it's not so important. PR matters for website impression but won't change too much the $ you earn. If you have high traffic, quality content, nobody will give a damn for the PR.
Except, of course, Google . Unlike many DP posters, Google seems to actually care about PR. When the search engine that sends me 53% of my total traffic drops their interest in PR, so will I, but not until then.
Well, I guess people are so worried about the Page rank of their sites in Google as they want to promote their site and the products or service the site showcase in the internet…
Of course you can outrank higher PR sites. you both might be in the same niche, but you might be highly targeting certain keywords when other websites are targeting different words. maybe from your point of view PR has lost its power, but from googles point of view it clearly hasnt. And i think googles point of view counts for a bit more than yours. No offence.
