All is Well that Yields Well!

When computers were invented, many thought computers would run the world with people at the back seat. Time has proved that computers have only re-emphasized the relevance of the people strength and scaled up their innovation wish list - be it mechanics or managers, scientists or manufacturers, cell phones or blackberries.

It is inevitably a wrong notion that LPOs are here as an alternate to Corporate Legal Departments and Law Firms or deplete them in any way. LPOs are here to supplement and complement the Legal industry for the better for all stakeholders - the counsels of the outsourcing corporate legal departments, partners of outsourcing law firms and last but not the least the shareholders of the outsourcing companies or the companies being serviced by Law Firms.

With the kind of breakthrough inventions in communication industry, there are no tasks that Corporate Legal Departments or large Law Firms cannot outsource to LPO Service Providers without affecting integrity and effectiveness. LPO Service Providers allow the large Law Firms and Corporate Legal Departments to concentrate on more important issues of quality, productivity, cost reduction, strategic planning, and so on.

In coming years, expect to see more and more Corporations and Law Firms outsourcing their legal work to offshore countries – most likely to former colonies of England and English speaking workers, lawyers versed in common law, and highly educated populations.

LPO Service providers offer QC (Quicker, Cheaper) legal support services – Time and Cost - there cannot be better yields.

The new corporate adage is "All is well that yields well"!

But then there will always be some who don't agree. I welcome them.

Never heard the acroymn of LPO but still.

Of cause there is another very similar adage of "the problem with quick and dirty is that the dirty is remembered a long time after the quick has been forgotten"

Not in the legal profession so cannot comment on it directly but see no reason why it wouldnt be signficantly different from other fields where overseas outsourcing has become fairly common place. The quality of service is simply not at the same level as internal units even when the overseas company is a captured one. In many cases the cost savings can still justify the lower quality coming out the other end but as the adage above, these can come back and bite you in the future

Law firms may outsource transcription and scut work, but they will never transfer the bulk of work for a variety of reasons.
