hello dp members, i run a blog which is 2 months old and i use the all-in-one-seo-pack, it has been very helpful to me and has even ranked me no.1 on google for certain keywords thus dynamically increasing my organic traffic. But few days ago i updated the plugin and recently i updated it again to current version 1.6.1, it asked me to configure it again from the control panel when i did that. But the problem is, the plugin don't seem to be working at all for me.Before it used to create custom fields on each of my post and fill them accordingly form what i had entered in the optimization bars, like the description, keywords, etc but now i realized that it no longer 'creates' those custom fields to the post nor is it giving me the desired results that it used to 3 days ago. My 2 latest post haven't been indexed for last 5 days, prior to that all my posts used to get indexed in less then 10 hours, so i am getting worried weather the plugin is actually working at all or not? The keywords and Meta tags don't also show up also when i check the pages source code, any idea on whats going wrong or if others having the same problems? and does the custom fields of 'keywords', 'description', 'title' on each post are needed or does the plugin do its job without displaying it as custom fields for me? because before it used to, now it don't help pls!
I face some problem updating the latest version of All-In-One-Seo-Pack too. I'm sure they will sort this matter soon. For new blog post, I would suggest like wait for 5 - 10 days to get indexed.
Thank you for reporting this. I was going to update the plugin version too. You might want to report this to the authors website too so they can fix it..
Their has been 2 more updates of the plugin after this and i did report it to the author, and i am still facing the same problems even with the latest version.
I have also faced this problem while updating it automatically yesterday , but now it is working fine for me .
make sure you update wordpress as well. Most of the time when plugin vendors update their software, they assume you're using the latest and greatest WP install.
i am using wordpress 2.8.1 which is the latest version by far, on their support forums their are more users with the same problems, guess they screwed up. If they don't fix it in few weeks then i will have to change to another SEO plugin because this is not helping.
