Frankly, I think you'd be better off blocking them via your robots.txt file than using the plugin to do this.

The same way you install any other plugin. FTP to your wp-contents/plugins/ folder, then activate in the control panel.

If you don't need the all-in-one plugin for rewriting titles, have a look at the Meta Robots plugin from Jost de Valk (sorry, can't post links so far)

It's alot more flexible and gives you more control, plus it let's you exclude certain wordpress system files you don't want indexed as well.

It is weird you ask. Do you want to rank for the keywords your categories handle or no? Are your categories displaying excerpts or full posts (duplicate content issue might raise if displaying full posts).

For example, I want to rank for my category keywords and hence I don't block the categories, but I do block tags and archives. Honestly, it is up to you what you want to do with your blog.

why no index for tags and categories? tag and category pages can get traffic from Google.

The "WordPress SEO Checklist" link in my signature will show you how.

The combination of the All In One SEO Pack and a robots.txt file will take care of all that, and so much more. Also remember that the fewer plugins you're running, the better off the system performance will be overall.

I was specifically referring to blog.com/category/blog-category/blog-entry though you do raise an interesting point.

You mean tags and archives? Two words: Duplicate Content

When you have additional tag pages that are indexed by Google you not only have a duplicate content problem but you are not carving out a clear and defined path to your content. Therefore I do not recommend it. I nofollow all of my archive pages, tag pages, category pages, search results pages, rss feed pages and a whole bunch more to avoid getting penalized by Google for duplicate content.
