all databases 4 days ago

    So i woke up this morning and it seems all my databases were reset to 4 days ago.

    i run a chemistry tutoring site and after berating someone for asking the same exact question i noticed that no posts from the last 4 days were on there....

    i thought it was an SMF issue

    then when i looked at my joomla help site....

    it was reset back 4 days also...

    every site i have had the database reset to the 15th


    and i haven't touched anything!!!!


    what could have happened?

    Sounds like something happened on the server and a restore was done from the last backup.

    that is what it sounds like to me as well...anyway, check the logs.

    If it was a restore your host should have a trouble ticket record.

    Lots of people will rant and rave about breaking into a server, but then discover they don't have the skills. So, the timing is probably a coincidence.
